As soon as you have
finished with registration procedure, you will be logged into
your affiliaterunner account.

|
General Settings
|
 |
| You can run 4 types of programs:
pay per view, pay per click, pay per sale and pay per lead. On the top-left
side of the Program Setup screen there are four checkboxes. Check the
program types you want to activate. |
| Cookie expiry period is
the period over which the click records will be held (as a cookie on the user
computer or/and as a record in our database). Over that period of time all
sales/leads from the user that has clicked one of the banners will be credited
to the corresponding affiliate. |
| Currency is the name of
the currency you want to use. |
| Minimum payment is the
minimum payable commission amount to one of the affiliates. When an affiliate
has accumulated a commission amount greater than minimum payment, you will see
him on the Required Payments screen. By default minimum payment is 50 monetary
units. |
| Supported Pay Methods checkboxes
allow you to select the payment types you support. Your affiliates will be
asked to choose one preferred payment type out of your supported payments. |
| If you would like to enable click
two-tier commissioning, check the 2-Tier Commission Enabled checkbox
and input a corresponding 2-Tier percent of the commission. A Tier-1 Affiliate
will receive that percent of all his Tier-2 Affiliates commissions. |
| Click on the Update button
when you have finished with general settings. |
»
|
Per Group Settings |
| You can divide your affiliates
into three groups for better manageability: Bronze, Silver
and Gold. By default your affiliates will be added to the
Silver group. |
| For each of the groups, you have to
input commission percents. When you start your program, all
commission percents are set to zero. Edit your commission percents for the
programs you have previously activated. |
| There is an auto-approve leads/sales
option. If it is checked then a sale/lead that enters the system will be
automatically confirmed and the commission credited to the affiliate. Otherwise
you will have to manually confirm the sale/lead. Until the sale/lead is
confirmed, the affiliate commission will be zero. |
| If you would like all the banners for one
group of affiliates to point towards only one page, then you can check the Override
Entry Page checkbox and then select one entry page from the
dropdown. |
| As soon as you have finished with setting
up one group, you have to click the Update button on the
bottom of the screen. Then you can select another group from the drop-down in
the upper-right part of the screen and repeat the steps above. |
|
2. Click on the Configuration -> Entry Pages
|
»
|
Entry Pages |
 |
| All page URLs that you want your banners
linking to, must be added here. Depending on your purchased package, you might
have a limitation on the number of entry pages. |
| There will be a default entry page, which
is the one you have entered upon registration. You can't delete this entry
page, but you are allowed to modify it. |
| To add a new entry page, fill in the Add
New Entry Page textbox, then click the Confirm button. |
| To edit one of the entry pages, modify
the URL in one of the textboxes and then click Update. |
| 3.
Click on the Configuration -> Setup Banners |
»
|
Advertising Links
|
 |
| Click on the Add New Banner
link to add a new advertise link.
|
| There are three types of advertising
objects: banners (or image), text and custom.
|
| To add a banner, simply
input the URL of the image, select an entry page for your banner and finally
click on the Add Link button. You can click on the Preview banner prior to
adding the link to make sure the image URL is correct.
|
| Adding a text link is
the same, only that you have to input the displayed link text instead of the
image URL. |
A custom link is an html
object like an ActiveX or a flash object. When using custom links, you have to
deal with your redirection yourself.
For example, if you add a flash object you will have to pass a parameter to
that object containing the redirect link. The system will replace all
#redirect# tags with the correct redirect URL. |
Flash example:
<object classid=
"clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000"codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,29,0"
width="352" height="234">
<param name="movie" value="myflash.swf?navigateurl=#redirect#">
<param name="quality" value="high">
<embed src="myflash.swf ?navigateurl=#redirect#"
quality="high" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"
type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="352"
height="234"></embed></object> |
| Add as many advertising links as you
want. |
»
|
Ad. Management - Pro and Expert
accounts only |
|
As a part of the Pro and Expert accounts, you are given the option to create
link groups and subgroups. This feature lets you organize
your advertising links, grouping them by size, type, product, etc.
|
To create a new
group, first click on the Ad.Management link in the
Advertising Links screen. This will take you to a new screen called Link
Groups Management. In the Add New Group text box input the name of
the new group then click the Confirm button.
To delete a group, select the group in the Groups list box
then click the Remove button.
|
To display the subgroups
of a group, just select the group in the Groups list box.
To create a new subgroup, first select the
group in the Groups list box. In the Add New Subgroup text box input the name
of the new subgroup then click the Confirm button.
To delete a subgroup, first select the group in the Groups
list box, then select the subgroup in the Subgroups list box and finally click
on the Remove button.
|
| You can create maximum 10 groups and
respectively 10 subgroups for each group.
|
| When creating a new Advertising Link (as
explained in the previous section), you have the option to select the group and
subgroup of the new link. If you later want to change the group/subgroup of a
link, you can do that in the Edit Link screen. In future work, you can simply
choose a group or subgroup on the Ad.Management screen to see all related
Advertising Links.
|
| If you have chosen to sign-up for an
Expert account, then you have the ability to create distinct reports
for each of your groups. Each report screen contains a drop down list that lets
you restrict the report to a specific group.
|
| When you need to manage multiple
sites, we suggest creating a group for each of your websites. This
will actually give you the possibility to independently manage up to 10
websites inside the same account, eliminating the need to sign up for multiple
accounts.
|
4.
Depending on your purchased package, you can set-up the popularity link option
for your banners.
Click on the Configuration -> Popularity Link
|
»
|
Popularity Link |
 |
| Popularity Link option enables
your banners to point directly to your site. Because we still need to track
your visitors, you must place a small script on the top of your popularity
page. |
So before you enable the popularity
link:
- choose the page you would like to act as the popularity page for your site.
After enabling the Popularity Page, all your ad. links will point towards that
page, increasing its popularity.
- input the URL of that page in the Popularity Page URL textbox
- click Update
- copy and paste the script on the top of your popularity page
- click on the Activate button to enable Popularity Link option |
| The script only comes into play when your
popularity page is referred from one of the banners you have added on the
AffiliateRunner account. Otherwise it does nothing. So you can use your main
page as the popularity page without any issues.

Tracking Code |
 |
|
Before you can activate sales or leads programs, you will have to place the
tracking code on your sale/lead confirmation page. On the Tracking Code screen,
you will find three text boxes containing the base html code for tracking
sales, leads and recurring sales. You will have to update this html code with
your own order reference numbers, amounts and recurring periods, as described
below. If you need .php code we can provide you with that code. |
|
|
|
Sale Tracking
|
This is how the basic sale tracking code will look like on the Tracking Code
screen:

Merchant ID is a number that will be set by our system to identify your
program.
|
|
The following fields marked in bold in the tracking code need to be replaced by
you:
|
orderref - is the order reference number for your sale. The order
reference number must be unique for each sale. A second sale with the same
order reference number will not be tracked.

you don't have an order reference number in your system use the first sample
code below which will generate a simple order reference number based on the
current date.
|
|
amount - the amount of the sale. You can set this field to a
fixed value or you can read it from your system.
|
|
|
|
Sale Tracking Code - Sample 1. In this sample the amount of
